1. Bob Dylan is recording a Christmas album, scheduled for release Oct. 13th. Also, he's in talks to become the voice of your GPS. Mine is currently a bossy chick I named Roxie-I don't think you could convince me to give her up for Dylan, only because he doesn't enunciate very well. I will, however, consider buying that Christmas album!

2. California is having a garage sale. On Ebay. You know, to get out of debt. The Governator is even autographing select items! Not a huge Arnie fan, but I will admit this is creative-I mean, I sell stuff on Ebay when I'm low on cash, so why shouldn't the government?

3. Celebrating the life and work of Ellie Greenwich. Heard this on my way home yesterday as I was listening to NPR-Ms. Ellie was writer of all my favorite "girl group" songs that my daddy made me a mix tape of when I was a little girl, like "Leader of the Pack," "Da Do Ron Ron," and "Chapel of Love." She also wrote one of my favorite songs ever "Be My Baby" (you know, the one that plays at the beginning of Dirty Dancing?). Not only was she a songwriter, but also a producer, very uncommon for women at that time. He songs have been in tons of movies and TV shows-in other words, pop culture junkies like me owe a lot to Ellie Greenwich!
